This man was one of a dying breed" he was proud to be a American & served his country well. He was one of the best brick mason in the country, one of the best sons he supported his aflicted Mother and his dad when he was sick, also the best Uncle ever .

LINDEN - Graveside services for Harry A. Crowe Jr., 90, of Longview, formerly Linden, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 28, 2008, at Linden Cemetery, with the Rev. Don Phelps officiating, with Masonic rights and military honors. Arrangements are by Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral Home. Mr. Crowe died Friday, October 24, at his residence.
He was born January 28, 1918, in Sulphur Springs. Mr. Crowe was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, having served on the USS Wasp. He was a member of VFW Post No. 1183, a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Bricklayers Union.
Mr. Crowe is survived by: one daughter and son-in-law, Katherine and Bobby Cotton of Longview; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Gwen Pollak of Longview; one nephew and wife, Dewayne and Glenda White of Hughes Springs; and one niece and husband, Diane and Chuck Hughes of Austin; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Mr. Crowe was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Katherine.
Donations may be made to Heart'sWay Hospice in Longview.
The body may be viewed Monday, October 27, 2008, and the family will will receive friends from 5-7 p.m..
